The Day Of Judgement

Silver Gelatin paper negative process, Kodak Specialist 3 LF Camera, Unknown Brass Lense, Agfa Glossy paper, Agfa expired multicontrast developer, scanned and processed in Silver FX Pro 2.

This image was taken yesterday morning with the details above. I have been having a summer of shooting film and I have missed the immediacy of shooting paper. I am fortunate to have a darkroom at home and at my gallery. There is nothing I love more than loading paper into any of my cameras, going outside (especially in my back yard) making the exposure and then going into the darkroom to develop the paper negative.

I use any camera, from home made, 35mm, brownies and up to 5 x 7 LF for my negatives.
This was using an unnamed brass lens, expired developer and paper..............

I love the opportunity for random in this.....and me not being total in control and bending everything to my will.

This fire like effect may be a light leak on the piece of paper from last time I used that packet, it may the developer..........I dont know. It didnt happen again........and so this is unique and I like that.

I'm with you on paper negatives... just developed two tonight and there really is nothing quite so immediate and satisfying. Not being in control and accepting/allowing luck, chance, fun, what happens... all those things draw me to pinhole and solargraphs and paper...

This is very cool!
