Pesky Spitfires

Spitfire pleasure flights from Goodwood Aerodrome in West Sussex pass overhead on a regular basis and usually only a single aircraft is seen, but today it was a treat to see two of these classic planes flying together. Next day the pair flew over again, see PiP.

A great pair of photos, Tim.

TimC replied to Smiley Derleth:

Thanks Smiley. I only wish they would fly over here a bit lower, but guess there must be safety rules governing their altitude, not to mention the noise. Because the roar of a Merlin Engine, even at that height, is enough to give me goosebumps every time I hear them.

Schitterende opnames van deze klassieke vliegtuigen.
Ik gebruik het gratis programma ( AirNav RadarBox) om alle vliegtuigen te spotten, zeer interessant.
Hartelijke groeten, Frans.

Thanks for your comment, Frans. 'FlightRadar24' I find is quite good for aircraft tracking. Not heard of AirNav RadarBox, will try it later.
