In the morning sun
A Eurasian red squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris) has found a nice sunny spot on the branch.
Just before it came up here, I saw that it was inspecting a bird's nest. I only saw it from underneath the nest, so I don't know what it was doing, but I've read that they can eat eggs. Afterwards, it was sitting here for a long time (making the photographer happy and grateful!) and it looked like it from time to time had something like a little hiccup... Maybe it was digesting its breakfast?
