Edwina Booth Dec 1932

A scan and repair from a 1932 Motion Picture Mag I purchased. Beautiful images. Inspirational to my photography journey. I will try and find the photographer.

I love these old school portraits, and they have an influence on how I see now. There's a bit of work in repairing them.....but worth it. I love the softness here.

These portraits are really admirable, so soft but powerful too

I guess this photograph was taken before the unfortunate Edwina had a leading role in the movie 'Trader Horn' (1931). She contracted an infection (most often referred to as 'jungle fever') and on her return to the U.S. was bedridden for nearly six years. She never again acted in films.
