1) Summary of the General Assembly of Members.
Of particular note is the exciting news that we now have a Vice President whose position will support promoting ipernity along with other tasks. We welcome Andreas Schindler Arlequin Photographie to the position and look forward to their support.
That said, it was noted by our President, Vice President and Treasurer that each one of us who use ipernity are responsible for finding ways to spread information about our website in order to support getting new members as the way forward for our community.
Please look here for further information.
2) Two minor refinements.
Due to experiencing a number of questions about PiPs, the following is aimed at making it easier for new members. The 'Add a note' menu item under 'Actions' has the additional text, '(or PiP, see Share below)'. It is 'Share' that can provide the text required, and has a link to, 'How to insert PiP'.
3) Media usage survey.
You can see the results for yourself here, where the number of 'fav' stars is the count of 'yes' answers. At the end of March the results were:
19 use Twitter (X), 148 do not,
26 use Bluesky, 128 do not,
63 use Facebook, 100 do not,
1 found ipernity through Facebook.
26 use Bluesky, 128 do not,
63 use Facebook, 100 do not,
1 found ipernity through Facebook.
Over the next weeks the team will be using the results to determine any changes that could be made regarding the promotion of ipernity on those sites.
4) Ambassador pictures anniversary.
The IPERNITY Ambassador Images group has just celebrated its fourth anniversary. With 1,500 photos now worth seeing, it shows the spectrum of ipernity members' work in the greatest possible variety. We would like to thank all the members who have contributed to forming this representative collection with their suggestions and submissions, as well as the volunteer organisers and the jurors who curate this group.
5) Reminder about blocking a member.
Blocking someone can be used to prevent you from seeing their images on the Explore->New page.
But remember that their images are hidden from you everywhere on ipernity. Also that while you can unblock someone, the initial action of blocking them will cause the permanent deletion of all their comments and messages to you. See FAQ 9.2 for details.
6) To our worldwide community.
Happy spring, Happy fall.
Your ima team.

We have so many options that allow everyone to have ipernity's webstie work how they personally want without infringing on how others use the website.
Thank you, Rob!

I also want to thank Bergfex for his continued work on the Ambassador group. I personally enjoy the resulting Explore/Noteworthy page frequently. It shows off many amazing images and I find new contacts through this feature that I probably wouldn't find otherwise.
What a great feature that Arlequin Photographie (our new Vice President!) imagined and then helped create. I hope everyone goes to Explore/Noteworthy now and then to enjoy/explore our great community.
